Summary: Cockroaches are notoriously hard to kill. And as we've seen in previous movies, they can be endearing or literally the worst things to happen to the insect world. In this case...it's the latter.

History: A bunch of genetically-modified hissing cockroaches sounds like a great deal for a fanatic cult looking to have a vice grip on the world. Who wouldn’t want an army of over six million biting carnivorous monsters at their beck and call? Alas, the bugs are a bit more than anyone can handle, as people are picked apart left and right by the swarm.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After all of the cultists are killed, the released bugs come together to form a titanic insectoid monster...only to be run over by an exploding oil tanker. However, at least one roach lives...

Powers/Abilities: Heightened intelligence, and the ability to work together to form a powerful giant beast for combat purposes.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-It's a bit muddled by the CGI beast they become, but there's no denying that getting chewed up by hordes of roaches isn't a pleasant thought. It doesn't help that a lot of times, regular roaches are all around the place. Just imagine if regular cockroaches got in on this sort of action...

Trivia: -We've said it before probably, but Madagascar hissing cockroaches simply aren't hungry for human flesh in real life, nor are they even meat eaters. They prefer fruits and, for those who like them as pets, even some dog food.

-The giant bug monster was based entirely on early concept art for this film, the original draft even being found somewhere in it.
